  22.     Last year the Assembly was a success, the weather was perfect and
  23.     we had a great time. The party, tripling the previous visitor record
  24.     in Finland, was with no doubt the biggest party in Finnish history.
  25.     This year we have made some improvements and we hope that we will
  26.     have as good weather as we had last year and to see you all there
  27.     again.
  28.      The Assembly '93 is arranged by The Movement, Accession and Complex
  29.     (Amiga), Future Crew (PC), Aggression (ST) and Extend (C64). The
  30.     partyplace is a    school in Kerava and the party starts at 10:00 in the
  31.     morning on Friday the 30th of July and ends at 18:00 on Sunday the
  32.     1st of August.

  35.     HOW TO GET THERE:
  36.     -----------------
  37.  
  38.     Kerava is located 20 kilometers outside Helsinki and only 10 km from
  39.     Helsinki airport. The partyplace is called 'Nikkarin yläaste' and
  40.     the address is Keskikatu 3.
  41.  
  42.     If you don't come by car it is easiest to first get to Helsinki and
  43.     then take the local train K, R, H, N or T and get off at Kerava. The
  44.     train trip takes about 30 mins. From the station in Kerava it is a
  45.     400 meter walk to the partyplace. Maps will be at the train-station.
  46.  
  47.     If you come by car then first get to Helsinki and drive out from
  48.     Helsinki to the North-East on Lahti-highway (E75). Get off the
  49.     highway at Kerava and make a left turn from the next intersection.
  50.     Then it's just to follow the signs we have put up and to go with the
  51.     flow. If you want maps then contact us.
  52.  
  53.     If you come by plane then just take a taxi to the partyplace. It
  54.     will cost you about 70 FIM. If you can't afford that, then call our
  55.     Assembly hotline during the party and tell us your location and we
  56.     will pick you up.

  58.     We can also provide some kind of taxi-service for foreigners free of
  59.     charge. So just phone us in advance and tell us when you are in
  60.     Finland.

  65.     COMPETITIONS

  68.     As always on these kind of meetings, there will be some compos. We'll
  69.     have the traditional Demo-, Gfx-, Music-, R-Time- and Intro-
  70.     competitions and some other compos like Frisbee-, Soccer- and Disk-
  71.     throwing competitions (Last year a C-64 guy set the World Record to
  72.     72.539m, nearly disqualified for not having an Anarchy demo on the
  73.     disk). This year the disk must contain a Kefrens demo according to
  74.     the recent changes is rules.

  76.     The competitions are shown on a big screen and we have a powerful
  77.     Surround Sound System.

  80.     RULES AND PRIZES

  86.     All Amiga competitions will be run on a A500, KS1.3, 0.5Mb chip and
  87.     0.5Mb fast memory.

  89.     Amiga   DEMO:    One group may release several demos.
  90.     Amiga  MUSIC:    Must be an executable file. Only one tune/person.
  91.     Amiga    GFX:    Picture must be an IFF picture loadable in DP 4.0.
  92.             Only one picture/person.
  93.     Amiga  INTRO:    The intro must be less than 40960 bytes(40kb).
  94.     Amiga R-TIME:    Must be executable and made in 5h out of scratch.

  96.     All contestants must be at the party. All productions will be spread
  97.     immediately after the competitions.

  116.     All the PC competitions are run on a standard 486/33 with a Tseng
  117.     ET4000 VGA board. All major soundcards are supported. If you have a
  118.     rare one be sure to bring it with you.

  120.     PC    DEMO: Must work on our competition computer.
  121.     PC     GFX: Any standard EGA and VGA mode supported. Also 320*400*256
  122.             mode. Only one picture/person. No SVGA.
  123.     PC MUSIC 1: 4 channel Pro Tracker format. Only one tune/person.
  124.     PC MUSIC 2: Up to 32 channels. Bring your own player!
  125.     PC   INTRO: Maximum size is 100kb executable.

  129.         We have about $2700 USD to share to the TOP 3 demos in the demo
  130.     compo. This money will be shared based on the percentage of the votes
  131.     the demos gain.
  132.         In the other PC-compos we will give away all kinds of hardware and
  133.     software prizes which will be given to us by our nice sponsors. These
  134.         prizes include for example: Gravis Ultrasound cards, harddisks,
  135.     games, CD-ROM disks, joysticks, computer related books, complete
  136.     F-PROT viruskiller packages and more!

  153.     There are only two main competitions for ST, demo and graphics.

  155.     Atari musicians can compete in the Amiga competition. Due to the
  156.     rules on the Amiga only 500kb of samples is allowed. The module must
  157.     be in Amiga or Atari executable format.
  158.  
  159.     Both main competitions will be run on an STe with 1 Mb of memory.
  160.  
  161.     Atari STe DEMO:    One group may take part with several demos. Demos
  162.             must be 100% finished and we will spread them.
  163.     Atari STe  GFX:    Picture must be an executable file. All copied
  164.             pictures will be disqualified.

  192.     All the deadlines are at 15:00 on Saturday the 31 of July. (But of
  193.     course cool demos by famous groups can be let in after the deadline..

  195.     Sunday the 1st of August.

  205.     The Cafe will be open 24h a day and will sell all kinds of munchies:

  209.     Dance Nation(Captain/Frantic) and the Mighty Rubberboots(Damones)
  210.     will appear in our show. Frantic has made some interesting computer
  211.     animated videos for Dance Nation and of course these will be shown.

  213.     Planet FunFun!:
  214.     In Kerava you will find Scandinavia's biggest inside amusement park
  215.     called 'Planet FunFun', it opened less than one year ago. At night
  216.     the place works as a big disco/bar.

  218.     Central TV-system:
  219.     There are TVs all over the partyplace showing the party schedule,
  220.     general information and important announcements.

  223.     The most Fashionable T-Shirts will be sold at the party.

  227.     There will be a party-BBS online at the partyplace. It can be phoned
  228.     during the partytime, not before and not after! The number can be
  229.     found on our boards a few weeks before and during the party.

  233.     about the results, or just to chat with the organizers.

  236.     The newest ray-trace movies will be shown on the big screen.

  239.     Assembly the movie will be made at the Assembly.

  242.     Terra Marque, a game-company consisting of the 20 most elite guys in
  243.     the finnish Amiga scene, will show a playable preview of their
  244.     forthcoming Elfmania-game. Naturally there will be a competition with
  245.     suprise prizes.

  251.     Expert meteorologists agree that the weather in Kerava will be sunny,
  252.     the temperature will be at least 25°C and babes will wear extremely
